Handbooek Nederlandse Flora. Herkenning, verspreidning en ecologie von 1800 soorten wilde planten. 2025. 3370 col. photogr. 660 p. Hardcover. -In Dutch, with Latin nomenclatue.
The "Handboek Nederlandse Flora" (Handbook of Dutch Flora) is the first book to cover virtually all wild plants in the Netherlands, including one or more color photographs, text, and distribution maps. It covers 1,450 native or established species, supplemented by nearly 350 species that regularly naturalize or are introduced accidentally.
The text highlights the differences between very similar species. The 3,370 photographs show not only flower and leaf characteristics, but often also fruits, and frequently details such as hairiness. This immediately illustrates how to identify related species.
This book was created in collaboration with the FLORON Foundation. This made it possible to include up-to-date distribution maps for all species. A perfect complement to the "Field Guide to Dutch Flora."
