Vegetation of China (Vol.14-1) Tropical and Subtropical Evergreen Broad-leaved Shrubs surveys and studies tropical and subtropical evergreen broad-leaved shrubs in China using a top-level design and standardized methodology. Following the classification, nomenclature, and compilation standards of the Vegetation of China, and supported by data from 1,145 plots, this journal systematically describes the geographic distribution, natural environment, species composition, community structure, community types, biological characteristics of dominant species, biomass and productivity, and the importance and conservation implications of 19 formations (including 71 association groups and 215 associations) of tropical and subtropical evergreen broad-leaved shrubs in China. Rich in content, with detailed data and illustrated text, this publication includes tables of quantitative characteristics reflecting formation and association structure and species composition, statistical tables of typical plots of association groups, and photographs of community appearance and structure. A list of vegetation types, a list of plants, and an index of vegetation type names in Chinese and English are included at the back of the book.
