Analyse statistique des tableaux de relevés de végétation. Recherche d'adéquation entre les données de végétation et les techniques statistiques, au moyen d'exemples. 2016. 440 p. Hardcover.- In French.
Statistical analysis of vegetation survey tables requires an appropriate approach, given the particular and very diverse nature of the data. There are several stages in the analysis of vegetation data, from the collection of the data, the construction of the species and survey tables, the statistical analysis and the summary in various forms, including the relationship between the vegetation and its environment. Analysis of the horizontal dispersal of plants is not essential, but it is often instructive in terms of vegetation representation models.
The main techniques of factorial analysis and classification are then developed and discussed, with each time a search for the most appropriate techniques in relation to the data. An entire chapter is devoted to comparing the results of a statistical study and a purely phytosociological approach. General suggestions for successful multivariate analysis are then given. Several personal software packages are explained and others are briefly presented.
