This manual deals with the biodiversity of freshwater algae of Templetanks of Kerala which is a special type of lentic ecosystem prevalent inseveral parts of South India. A total number of 94 temple tanks werestudied and 274 taxa of algae belonging to Chlorophyceae, Cyanophyceae,Bacillariophyceae, Euglenophyceae and other smaller groups of algaewere recorded. Digital images of all the taxa are presented.
