TheLeicestershire landscape has changed dramatically in the 55 years sincethe last Flora was published. This new Flora details the effect ofchanges on the flowering plants and ferns of the former county. It isthe result of nearly 20 years intensive fieldwork, during which over160.000 records were gathered. The systematic account describes thestatus and distribution in Leicestershire of 1279 species and othertaxa, 1080 of which are mapped by tetrad.
