This work is a taxonomic revision of the collections made by Isert and Thonning between 1783 and 1803. Over 600 species represented and 474 names were based on type specimen in these collections,now housed in theBotanical Museum at Copenhagen. Species arranged alphabetically by family and genus under their currently recognized botanical name with relevant synonyms, location of duplicates, vernacular names,translationsof field and economic notes, and place name gazetteer.
