This book follows those published previously in the 'legume series'published by Kew. -Contains three subfamilies, 33 tribes, 180 genera, 1670 species (with one hybrid, 33 subspecies, 233 varieties and 39 forms) recognized in China. Of them, three species and three varieties are new to science, one new name are proposed, one species is newly recorded to China, 27 new combinations and 89 new synonyms are proposed, 182 species (with one hybrid, three subspecies, nine varieties and one form) are exotic to China, and 687 species (with 12 subspecies, 170 varieties and 37 forms) are endemic to China.
