With over 2.700 endemic plant taxa, including relict species, such as the near threatened 'Pinus eldarica', the Caucasus region is one of theworld's most beautiful and important biodiversity hotspots. In addition to the list, profiles of the six countries are provided, detailing the range of climates, habitats and vegetation and identifying important national plants and their threats.
