Identifying Leymus Chinensis grasslands in China, with Leymus Chinensis as the dominant species, as the community. Based on field plot records, the Leymus Chinensis grassland community is divided into seven association groups, 139 associations, and two communities. Among these, the Leymus Chinensis Association Group has one community, the Leymus Chinensis-Buscomb Grass Association Group has 44 communities, the Leymus Chinensis-Rhizome Grass Association Group has 29 communities and one community, the Leymus Chinensis-Forbs Association Group has 38 communities and one community, the Leymus Chinensis-Semi-Shrub Association Group has 15 communities, the Leymus Chinensis-Annual Herb Association Group has six communities, and the Leymus Chinensis-Shrub-Herb Association Group has six communities. At the formation level, this book reviews the history of research, systematically describing geographic distribution, natural environment, species composition, community structure, biological characteristics of dominant species, classification and description of association groups and assemblages, spatiotemporal variations in biomass and productivity, vegetation dynamics and succession, and utilization and conservation. Recommendations for appropriate utilization are provided within the descriptions of each assemblage.
