The first paper describes in detail a study of the pollen morphology of41 species of Fagus L. and Nothofaus Bl. using such techniques asscanning electron and light microscopy, and the combination of SEM andultrasonification to allow observation of exine ultrastructure. Thesecond paper is the first comprehensive summary for over a century ofthe genera of the leguminous tribe Genisteae and allied groups.
